What to email us about
We pay close attention to:
- Calculator accuracy feedback. If you got a contractor quote that fell well outside our calculator's range, tell us. Real quote data helps us calibrate against future revisions.
- Methodology questions. Anything on a methodology page that's unclear, looks wrong, or warrants a deeper explanation — we want to know.
- Accessibility issues. Anything that prevents you from using the site. We treat these as priority bug reports.
- Partnership and press inquiries. Industry data partners, contractors interested in collaborating on per-state cost research, journalists writing about the home-improvement cost category.
We don't respond to: contractor quote requests (those go through the calculator's CTA on each calculator page), generic SEO outreach, or unsolicited backlink trades.
When you'll hear back
Most messages get a reply within 1–3 business days. Accessibility reports get same-or-next-day attention. Partnership inquiries that require coordination across our team can take a week. If you haven't heard from us in 7 business days, send a follow-up — your message may have been caught by spam filtering.
